The global base stock market is in a period of relative uncertainty and rapid change. Group I production rationalisations, Group II & III capacity increases, supply and demand imbalances, the introduction of re-refined and bio-based feedstocks and the explosion in the number of base stocks that may need approvals in lubricant formulations all have a direct impact on our industry.
